Thankful Turkey
YouTube Video Demonstration
Materials: Paper bag or sack, various colored construction paper, glue or tape, strips of
paper to write, scissors
Take a paper bag. Lay the bag on its side and glue (or tape) feathers cut from
construction paper to the bottom of the paper bag. Out of construction paper, cut a head
and glue (or tape) to the front of the bag. Cut a slit in the top of the bag to drop in slips of
paper. Cut slips of paper to write down blessings, and then place them into the bag.
Each person records one thing they are thankful for each day on a slip of paper. Place
each slip in the bag and read aloud on Thanksgiving Day.

Edible Evergreen Tree

Materials: Sugar cones, white and green frosting, Snowman Peeps Marshmallows,
various candies such as Skittles, gummy LifeSavers, M&M's, etc.
Place a blob of white frosting on a paper or glass plate as snow. Put your sugar cone
point-side-up on your finger and spread green frosting to cover the cone. Stick the cone
onto the white frosting to look like a tree in snow, then decorate the frosted "tree" cone with
various candies. To finish snow and tree scene, place snowman marshmallow beside
tree. Then eat to enjoy!!
