The Thanksgiving and Christmas season is my favorite time of year. I love the cool, crisp days. As a child, I loved the turning of the leaves and playing as we raked them up. In Florida, I have learned to enjoy plants that have Fall colors in them. My sister brought burnt orange mums to me and helped her son plant them in my yard a few years ago.

We decorate our house for Thanksgiving. This week, we are removing the Halloween decorations and putting up the Thanksgiving decorations. We have glass turkeys and plastic pilgrims. The pumpkins stay out and we add Fall leaves. My friend, Priscilla Hutchins taught me about putting a piece of clear plastic (available here at Walmart) on top of a fabric tablecloth. We actually bought fabric with scattered Autumn leaves and made a tablecloth because our oversized table was custom built for my parents. Then we scatter fabric leaves on top and cover it with plastic. The plastic keeps that tablecloth protected the whole month. This has worked well for our family too.

What ideas can you share with us today that makes your holidays easier? We would love for you to leave a comment and let us all enjoy your tips.

We hope you have a wonderful day!
