Written on Your Heart – II

So, I have been thinking about last month’s pop quiz and wondering what I could do to encourage thought among my little ones as they discover what is written on their hearts. Feel free to enlighten me if you have any ideas…!

I feel a great responsibility to help my children meander their ways through this sojourn on earth–and I want them to live as individuals. If I were really clever (okay, here’s my disclaimer–I AM really clever, just so you know…I just don’t admit it…but I’m working on it…stay tuned for an upcoming blog on my mind shifting…!)–okay–back to being clever–maybe I would write in my best penmanship (which, just so you know borders on calligraphy) an invitation to be who they are. What if you recieved one of those? Would you know how to act? Do you know who you are and what is written on your heart to accomplish during your lifetime? If you don’t, can you lead your children to find their ways though life and find success?

Are you living life in fear? Are you projecting your fear on your children? Sometimes I am. I know I do it. I figure that I am not alone…but fear is not written on my heart!!!! I don’t want it on my children’s hearts!!!! I want to empower them, and you, and myself to live the lives we were born to live (no, here is not where I break out in “Climb Every Mountain”). :)

Seriously, though–to quote Barbara Streisand–in “Yentl,” “Where is it written what it is I’m meant to be?”

The answer is in your heart…for each of us. Search your heart. Teach your children to do the same, and we will live in an empowered world. :)
