Pink Jelly Beans
Pink jelly beans are my favorite. If the option were more readilly available for me to only buy the pink jelly beans, I would; however, you and I both know that if the only place you shop for jelly beans is the local grocery store, you’re gonna have to buy them in a variety package.
Maybe it’s good for me that I am forced to eat the flavors I don’t like as much because it helps me appreciate the pink ones that much more. Like the taste of the orange invokes a tang that causes the pink to be all that much sweeter!
Isn’t the same thing true about life? Don’t we have to experience challenge in order to appreciate joy? I know for me, the feeling of relief increases depending on the level of difficultly that was overcome. The problems help us enjoy the blessings.
So…if you are in the middle of challenging times, savor the taste of the orangey tang knowing that the goodness of pink is coming soon.
